Dreamery
For a few years now I’ve been working on a project titled “Dreamery”.
Dreamery follows the adventures of an alien-creature named Ly. She's a strange creature, but lives in an even stranger world.
Dreamery started in 2023 with six very short animation films starring an alien creature with no nose or mouth. These animations were around 30 seconds each and were surrealistic depictions of my experiences as a (then) teenage girl with autism. Later I minored in film and continued developing the concept of Dreamery as a series with longer episodes that delve deeper into themes of normality and the reality of people that fall outside of the norm. The alien creature got a name around this time too: Ly. My final project was the first fully developed episode of this series: Remedy. In this episode, Ly visits the doctor to find out if she's normal or not.
Remedy(2026)
Remedy is the first full-length Dreamery episode. It follows the main character Ly, who visits the doctor because she is unsure if she’s normal or not.
DREAMERY(2023)
The first Dreamery project were very short animated clips that were absurdist depictions of how I experience the world. There are six episodes in total: Party, Tragedy, Body, Sticky, Tea & Fairy.
